Gate36 is a travel-focused skincare brand that combines luxury and practicality to create products tailored for specific destinations and journey lengths. Similar to contact lens packaging, the product can be torn off and discarded after use. This project encompassed developing a cohesive brand identity, designing compact/functional packaging, and creating high-quality 3D renders to bring the brand to life visually.

With a mission to help travelers “glow wherever they go,” the design work focused on reflecting Gate36’s core values of elegance, adventure, and convenience. From logo design and typography selection to packaging layouts and realistic product renders, every element was crafted to align with the brand’s vision of empowering health-conscious, modern women to travel lighter and smarter while maintaining beautiful skin.

The logo, designed to mimic airport gate signage, uses a minimalist design that evokes sophistication and practicality. The off-black primary color was chosen to ground the brand in elegance, while the secondary colors serve as vibrant accents, adding energy and highlighting key features. The typography pairs Montserrat for headers and bold statements with Roboto Mono for subheaders and packaging text, balancing readability with a sleek, contemporary feel.

The overall aesthetic was designed to reflect a blend of luxury and accessibility. The brand’s tone is approachable yet aspirational, aligning with Gate36’s goal of inspiring confidence and ease in its customers.

PACKAGE DESIGN + 3D Renders

The packaging for Gate36 is thoughtfully designed to provide a seamless and luxurious experience for travelers. Each box corresponds to a specific number of travel days, with one daily strip of skincare essentials tailored for the traveler’s destination climate. Perforated strips allow pieces to be torn off throughout the day for convenient, on-the-go use. The tabs are shaped to mirror airplane windows, while the box design itself mimics the look of an airline ticket, reinforcing the brand’s travel focus. This compact, efficient packaging minimizes waste and aligns perfectly with Gate36’s mission to help travelers “glow wherever they go.”
